Beckta Restaurant Upgrade

Beckta is one of Ottawa’s finest dining experiences. When the restaurant relocated to a nationally recognized heritage building, we provided an HVAC system, building automation system, and related services.

Our work included a complete building automation system and HVAC upgrade in the heritage structure, encompassing:

• Water-sourced heat pumps
• Perimeter radiation
• Utility monitoring for gas, water, and power
• BACnet integration into a third-party Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV)

Working in a heritage building presented installation challenges, as we were unable to run wire using common methods. We chose a wireless thermostat system as a solution.

Beckta patrons experience the restaurant’s comfortable, fine-dining ambiance while enjoying the beauty of this heritage building, including dining in a variety of discrete rooms, high ceilings, large windows, crown mouldings, and a fantastic staircase.
