We currently have co-op opportunities for talented and creative engineering students to be part of our team and share our values and passion. We are looking for motivated, multi-faceted technically inclined students who enjoys working on a wide variety of tasks, are quick to learn, and are keen to make a significant contribution to a successful and growing company. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support project managers, coordinators and foremen on various projects
- Assist with site contract document control
- Work with general contractors and coordinate priorities and activities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors
- Manage and work to a construction schedule
- Assist with commissioning activities and deficiency lists
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Working towards a University degree or College diploma in a related field such as Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
- Related work experience an asset, including from other co-op placements, internships, projects
- Experience in the construction industry a strong asset but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills with hands-on working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Team player, energetic, resourceful
- Eager to work and learn in a fast-paced industry
- A vehicle is required as the successful candidate may be required to drive to various job sites
