Minto Place

180 Kent Street completes the landmark Minto Place complex bordered by Slater Street to the North, Laurier Avenue to the south, Lyon Street to the West and Kent Street to the East.

We provided the mechanical services and fabrication when Minto added 370,000 square feet of class-A office space to Ottawa’s downtown real estate market.

The 19-storey building was the first Ottawa commercial multi-tenant office building to apply for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification, and it achieved LEED-NC Platinum certification for Core and Shell Development.

The new building surpassed standard office designs with more than 55% energy savings and 50% water savings, which can be passed on as operating cost savings to the building’s tenants.
