University of Ottawa – Engineering School

​The School of information technology and engineering at the University of Ottawa is a very unique design. All mechanical systems are exposed, including duct work, piping, cabling, electrical, etc., in an effort to demonstrate how and what makes the building operate.

We provided all mechanical services for this project, including all mechanical, plumbing and heating, sheet metal fabrication, controls, insulation, balancing, and sprinklers.

The building also incorporates the latest in high-tech outfitting and energy efficiency. For example, hundreds of outlets are spread throughout the building in lounges and common areas; the entire South atrium acts as a solar-heat recycling system; and, the building is equipped with a state-of-the-art heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system and an ultra-efficient lighting system.
